Are West Coast IPAs back?! If not, we’re okay being out of the loop! As of this afternoon we’re as WCIPA heavy as we’ve ever been. We have a single, we’re releasing a double today, and we still have some of our anniversary triple on draft. Come compare and contrast all three today!
Back in cans and on draft today is our more traditional style WCDIPA, Over Mountains. Like Westies from years ago, Over Mountains features a bit of caramel malt for a lovely, lightly toasted hue and just a hint of roast sweetness to balance all the bitterness from loads of C-hops. We packed it full of Centennial, Chinook, and Citra, so you’ll discover bitterness, piney dankness, hints of fruit and the aforementioned double IPA sweetness.
Also back on draft and to-go is The Fine Print. While Ben’s photo allows you to read ours, there’s no real need! It’s hazy, it’s delicious, it’s fruity and balanced. You’ll want to drink a bunch of them!
Pop in today for a pint or a 4-pack and check out our ridiculously balanced taplist this evening!
Returning to our taps today and in cans to go is one of our favorite West Coast IPAs, Image of Control.
This crispy hop bomb features the classic hops combo of Chinook, Simcoe, and Columbus for all that piney, dank, and citrus West Coast character we adore.
Swing by for a pour on draft and leave with your favorites from our diverse and balanced tap list.
We will be holding unique hours at the brewery on 4th of July this year to help you get your hands on your favorites for your holiday festivities.
Ben has graciously offered to sling beers and get you to-go beers on Saturday July 4th from 11am-4pm. Stop by and stock up with a draft pour and cans/bottles of beer, wine, mead and cider to take with you to the cook outs and pool parties!
The taproom will have regular Friday hours on the 3rd and then resume normal schedule as well on the 5th. Make Branch & Bone a part of your holiday weekend regardless of where you may be spending it!
Our brewhouse isn’t air-conditioned. That means this coming week is going to be really gross while we brew. But our pain is your gain because it’s going to be absolutely perfect weather for celebrating Independence Day, barbecuing, sitting by the pool, and crushing easy-drinking, crispy lagers. With that in mind, we’re releasing our American Lite Lager, Classic Crisp today!
Classic Crisp is light, dry, flavorful without being in-your-face, and at $12.99 for a 6-pack of 16oz cans…. Wait, that can’t be right, let’s check the notes. No, that’s what the notes say, just $12.99 for six POUNDS of beer! How can you go wrong? Supporting local? Check! Buying craft? Boom! Saving money? Absolutely!
So come grab a couple of 6-packs and use the cash you saved for Roman Candles. They don’t scare the animals as much and you absolutely shouldn’t get a bunch of buddies together and shoot them at each other. That would be wildly irresponsible and no one here has ever done that.
Seriously though, have fun and be safe as you celebrate ‘Murica’s 250th birthday! We want to see everyone in here on the 5th with all of their eyes and fingers in good, working order.
Your favorite Floridian dessert beer is back! Key Lime Pie Berliner is on draft and in 4-packs to-go this afternoon. Packaged today and bursting with tart lime, vanilla, and graham cracker crust, this one is sure to be a hit poolside, lying in the sand, or just after dinner on the couch!
And don’t give our photographer Ben any hassle on the photo. We know those aren’t Key Limes but we’re a small brewery and while we did WANT to send him to Key West to pick some, it just wasn’t in the budget.
Also back in cans and pouring on cask in the taproom today is our Dark English Mild, Over The Edge. One of our favorite pub ales, OTE is roasty but approachable! It has notes of roasted pecans, fig, and bakers chocolate. At 4.6% this sessionable ale will hit you with nuanced flavor and a light, crisp finish, but won’t wallop you if have a couple . Come grab some real ale this evening!
From our family (not all pictured!) to yours, we’d like to express what a pleasure it’s been to serve our South Park neighborhood, Dayton, and Ohio for the past eight years. It hasn’t been without pain or struggle, but for the vast majority of the time, we’ve had an absolute blast making beer for you, serving it to you, and drinking it with you.
Just noticing that this looks like a “We’re closing” notice. Sorry about that! No, this is simply a heartfelt thank you to every person who’s come to the taproom for a pint, tried our beer at a friend’s house, or taken a chance by grabbing a 4-pack off a shelf. We couldn’t have made it these eight years without you.
To those of you who came to our 8th anniversary party on Saturday, we hope you had as much fun as we did! It was a blast. We have a few bottles of Feral Dawn and a VERY limited amount of Double Chocolate Feral Dawn remaining too. We have a bit of both left on draft as well, so come give them a try if you didn’t get a chance over the weekend!
Thank you all so much for the past eight years. Hopefully we’ll be a part of this community for many more!
Dudes! And those of you who don’t identify as Dudes!
Do you want to try Citra hops in their most Citra-ey glory? Come check out Citra Maze today. Wander your way through T-90 Citra, Citra Cryo, and Citra terpenes. We even whispered “Citraaaaaaaa” in our creepiest voices every time we walked past the tank while it was fermenting just to imbue this beer with that bit of extra Citra magic.
Citra Maze is loaded, as you may have guessed, with all the best Citra flavors. There’s mango, orange, lemon, lime, passion fruit, and a bit of a dank bite at the end. On the nose you may notice grass clippings, lemongrass, vanilla, and a bit of citrus zest as well.
Come get lost in a Citra Maze today. We promise there is no Minotaur in the middle. Just delicious flavor.
Citra Maze is on draft and ready to make the trip home with you when we open at 4 today!
Have you been enjoying our cask ales in the taproom? Our cask boxes are the closest you will get to that experience at home!
Just in time for Anniversary weekend and all your other Summer shenanigans, these 5L boxes of beer fit perfectly in your fridge and serve up ~10 pints of pub ale.
Order online or stop in and grab yours today!
New today! Canning LITERALLY (the actual definition, not like “I could literally eat an entire cow!” “No you couldn’t Steven, you’d die.”) as this post is being written, we have Crooked Time!
At 7%, we’re coming in slightly higher than our usual Hazy IPA. Still, filled with Nelson Sauvin, Strata, and a touch of Mosaic, you’ll barely notice that ABV bump. Crooked Time has a super soft mouth-feel (everyone’s favorite descriptor), a slight minerality, and loads of cantalope, blackberry, honeydew, and a trace of white wine to finish. Crooked Time is a Velociraptor to our usual Ankylosaurus. It’s more flowing grace than brute force. If you didn’t like dinosaurs as a kid, that analogy is totally lost on you. Don’t worry, you can just come in, try the beer, and make your own random comparisons from when you were seven years old!
And hey, we won’t be upset if you post pictures of your favorite dinosaurs in the comments. We’ll see you at 4!
Oh, and if Steven were an actual carnivorous dinosaur he MIGHT literally be able to eat an entire cow. We’re sorry, Steven, you may actually have been using the word correctly.
For our final release announcement, coming this Saturday on draft and in bottles will be Double Chocolate Feral Dawn! A blend of our 41-month-matured Wild Turkey stout barrel and our 17-month-matured Buffalo Trace stout barrel, this beer was then conditioned further on pounds and pounds of organic cacao husks and cacao nibs!
This decadent, bold stout features a creamy, mocha-colored head that releases waves and waves of semi-sweet and milk chocolate aroma. If you find you prefer your beer like revenge, served cold, you’ll enjoy delicious dark chocolate, espresso, and baking chocolate. But if you feel that good things come to those who wait, and you allow it to briefly warm, you’ll be rewarded with stronger flavors of fudge, brown sugar, caramel, and brownie batter. To say we’ve enjoyed sampling this one would be a bit of an understatement.
If you’re staying with us for a while on Saturday, it may be hard to choose when to try this one. It’ll make for a perfect dessert in a glass, but if you wait too long, it may be gone!
